Pirates of the Canyon is honored to host the 2025 Amarillo Invitational Balloon Rally, The Pirates Return in Amarillo, Texas on October 24, 25 and 26th.
'Pirates of the Canyon' was created for spectators, pilots and crews. What a unique opportunity for people in our area to fully experience Hot Air Balloons and the beautiful area just in our back yard.
Palo Duro Canyon, the second largest canyon on the continent, is generally restricted from Aircraft which makes this event a very unique experience. Park Officials open the state park for this rare treat to combine the beautiful colors of Hot Air Balloons with the majestic backdrop of the canyon. This is how we all become pirates. We set our giant sails in the center of the open canyon and drift slowly, stealing the sights and forever holding them as our own treasures.
In addition to the Canyon, we fly these balloons in Amarillo from John Stiff Park on Saturday, October 25. Working with the Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department, we will host a trick or treating event like no other in Amarillo. Complete with Music, Food Truck and a Balloon Glow.
